The new orkut interface is becoming popular.To use this new interface you need to have invite.If you are using the new
orkut then you can send invite to your friend in following way
1.If you are not using click on try new orkut.
2.Go to bottom right-side your profile.
3.There will be an option to send orkut invite to your friend.
4.Click to select friend and then send invite.
5.If there is no option then ,you may have not got the send invite option,wait for 1-2 days then try
